About us title

Why is our tagline "an authentic life!"? An easy answer is we make decisions based on what we believe.  A deeper answer is that over years of living a person discovers who they really are and who they are not.  Having courage to live in a way that reflects your own values, beliefs and boundaries is often times against the grain from what social media and commercials pander.

We are here in the dirt amongst the thorns, lizards, grasses, pack rats, javelinas, mountain lions, cactus, coyote calls, under the watchful eyes of hawks, roadrunner, blackbirds, crows, beautiful starry nights, sunsets and sunrises that make a person stand in awe.

Happily we meet new "dirt dauber" people that decide to come out and live their own authentic lives.

Desert patience

One may find themselves sitting in their vehicle looking at water rushing across the road after a monsoon rain.  Waiting for the sun to rise and warm things up so you can get out and take care of some chore.

Watching for colors as the sun sets.  Looking at how the mountains seem to change every day.  As the sun shines on different areas there is always a new gully or shadow to discover.

Sitting waiting for the moon to rise slowly covering the earth with new shadows.

This is the patience of a desert dweller.  Animals burrow or lay in the shade going out at night.  People get things done early in the summer, a little later in the winter sometimes hurrying to finish before darkness.  It is the heartbeat of the desert slow and steady.  Dark, quiet, soothing, light breezes, harsh, beautiful, always changing.
